Job Description

Position Title: Business Analyst (ecommerce and SAAS)

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (On-site, 5 days/week)

Reports To: Sr. Business Analyst / CIO

Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst who is passionate about technology, SaaS, and process improvement — someone who enjoys bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, Development, and QA teams to translate business requirements into actionable system solutions. You will play a key role in requirements gathering, documentation, UAT coordination, and release management, helping ensure that product enhancements and client requests are delivered accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of business analysis practices in a software environment, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset to drive outcomes across teams.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead requirements-gathering sessions; capture, organize, and document business and functional requirements using JIRA and Confluence.

· Conduct UI and non-UI testing (functional and regression testing) to ensure sprint items and fix versions align correctly before each release.

· Coordinate and verify all JIRA issues for deployment readiness, perform release status checks, and support validation activities in collaboration with development and QA.

· Create and maintain process flows, SOPs, and documentation to support internal teams and external stakeholders.

· Troubleshoot ePS SaaS application issues, assist with test data setup for staging environments, and participate in root cause analysis.

· Work closely with product managers, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to understand goals, dependencies, and system functionality.

· Develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to assist leadership in tracking release readiness and business KPIs.

· Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, improve operational efficiency, and recommend automation or enhancement initiatives.

· Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles — create test scripts, execute test cases, and track outcomes to ensure requirements are met.

· Support configuration and maintenance of internal tools such as JIRA, Salesforce, and Confluence for project tracking and reporting.

· Maintain documentation for audit readiness and assist with PCI or internal compliance processes as required.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related technical field — or equivalent hands-on experience.

· 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a SaaS, eCommerce, or enterprise software environment.

· Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working with JIRA and Confluence.

· Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.

· Experience supporting or testing web-based applications.

· Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

· Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

· Familiarity with Salesforce, SQL, or API-based integrations is a plus.

· Must be available to work on-site in Auburn Hills, MI.

Why to join:

· Learn directly from experienced developers, analysts, and product managers.

· Gain exposure to real-world SaaS platforms used by enterprise and federal clients.

· Work in a collaborative, fast-moving team where your contributions make a real impact.

· Build a strong foundation in business analysis, technology, and process improvement.

· Opportunity for career growth into senior analyst or product management roles.
