As Canada’s leading clothing retailer of high-end men’s wear based in Toronto and operating in major centres across Canada, an exciting and challenging opportunity exists in the Marketing Department. In this role, the successful candidate will be part of the Retention Marketing Team and will be responsible for leading a team to drive Strategy & Channel Performance, as the CRM & Email Marketing Automation Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure in a well-established organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

CRM & Data Management

  • Develop and implement CRM strategies to maximize customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Partner closely with the data, analytics, and engineering teams to activate advanced segmentation and real-time personalization through Braze.
  • Translate CRM insights into actionable audience strategies across email and SMS to drive measurable revenue.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure CRM capabilities evolve in lockstep with business priorities, customer needs, and Braze platform enhancements.
  • Champion data quality, consent management, and a unified customer view to support enterprise personalization.

Email Marketing Management

  • Lead the end-to-end email marketing strategy with a focus on revenue generation, personalization, and lifecycle-driven communications.
  • Unlock advanced Braze capabilities including dynamic content, product feeds, Liquid logic, connected content, and predictive targeting.
  • Own the email marketing calendar and ensure campaigns ladder up to corporate strategy, revenue goals, and loyalty priorities.
  • Implement acquisition and retention strategies that grow a healthy, engaged email base.
  • Drive continuous improvement in build efficiency, template systems, QA processes, and test-and-learn frameworks using Braze.
  • Serve as the internal SME for Braze email execution, partnering with creative, loyalty, ecommerce, and analytics teams to maximize impact.
  • Ensure compliance with CASL, data governance, and deliverability best practices.
  • Manage platform-related budgets, vendor relationships, and contract efficiencies.

Performance Analytics

  • Set ambitious but achievable KPIs across deliverability, engagement, conversion, and revenue for email and SMS.
  • Measure channel performance daily and translate results into actionable recommendations for rapid iteration.
  • Use experimentation to optimize creative, segmentation, journeys, and triggers that lift engagement and drive incremental revenue.
  • Partner with loyalty and ecommerce teams to attribute revenue impact and identify cross-channel opportunities.

SMS Marketing

  • Develop, launch, and scale an SMS marketing program aligned to key lifecycle moments and commercial priorities.
  • Identify new opportunities to integrate SMS with email, and dynamic offers to strengthen omnichannel engagement.
  • Own Braze SMS setup, compliance, testing, and optimization.

Customer Lifecycle Journey

  • Identify customer segments and areas of opportunity that can be supported through automated communications.
  • Develop customer journeys to support the entire customer lifecycle.
  • Manage projects and vendors that drive continuous improvement in email, CRM, and SMS marketing.
  • Monitor the quality and performance of automated campaigns and journeys; identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to team members, with a focus on technical upskilling in Braze.
  • Foster a high-performance culture rooted in innovation, testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment with marketing, creative, ecommerce, analytics, technology, and loyalty teams to ensure cohesive and impactful CRM execution.
  • Influence senior stakeholders by presenting insights, opportunities, and business cases that unlock additional revenue and improve customer experience.
  • Act as a champion for customer-centric thinking and operational excellence in all CRM and channel initiatives.

The successful candidate will bring the following skills:

  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business or other relevant field
  • 5+ years of related experience  - specifically in Email Marketing & CRM
  • Experience in leading strategy, team and email projects
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email creation is considered an asset
  • Past experience in retail or fashion is also preferred
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms like Braze or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytically inclined; ability to synthesize and effectively communicate client data
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to work in a team and across functions
  • Technically proficient using MS Office, including using formulas and pivot tables in Excel
