This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Software Engineering in the United States.

In this role, you will lead strategic and tactical software engineering initiatives across ERP and marketing domains, ensuring high-quality delivery and operational excellence. You will manage a small team of engineers, overseeing development, root cause analysis, and remediation of production issues while collaborating with senior leadership to prioritize projects. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership in system architecture, resource planning, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, align engineering efforts with governance standards, and implement contingency plans to maintain seamless business operations. Remote work within the U.S. is supported, with optional presence at corporate headquarters in Draper, Utah.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, including roles such as Lead Software Engineer, Lead Data Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer.

·         Oversee the resolution of production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies.

·         Ensure quality integration and adherence to engineering standards across ERP, WFM, and marketing systems.

·         Collaborate with senior leaders to define project prioritization strategies and resource allocation plans.

·         Implement contingency and redundancy plans for critical systems within scope.

·         Drive innovation and improvement initiatives across software engineering processes and technology stack.



Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

·         Minimum 7 years of relevant software engineering experience, with at least 5 years managing engineering teams.

·         5+ years of experience with ERP and WFM systems such as JDA, Oracle, or NetSuite.

·         Strong technical expertise with .NET Framework, Microsoft SQL technologies (VB.NET, C#, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, Visual Studio).

·         Experience with Jira, Confluence, Splunk, XML, XSLT, and JavaScript.

·         Demonstrated proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) and eCommerce platforms such as Aptos, Micros, or Oracle POS.

·         Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
