We're assisting a well-funded startup in the accessibility space with their search for full stack engineers. Their product allows Shopify merchants to become accessible and ADA compliant, allowing for more potential customers to access their storefront.  The role will be hybrid, working in the Boston office Tuesday through Thursday and remotely Monday and Friday.
 
What you'll do:

  • Develop new features for their Shopify app, including UI/UX improvements and overhauls.

  • Refine agentic AI architecture for writing accessible code, ensuring correctness and reliability.

  • Work on automated screen testing and define solutions for previously un-automatable accessibility barriers.

  • Occasionally meet customers to gather direct feedback on the platform.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 1+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Proficiency in TypeScript, or proficiency in JavaScript alongside familiarity with strongly typed languages.

  • Experience with React, or similar frameworks.

  • Experience with relational databases.

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with LLM API integration and prompt engineering.

  • Knowledge of accessible web design practices.

  • Development experience within the Shopify App ecosystem.

  • Familiarity with multi-agent LLM architecture.
