JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Lead Business Analyst will play a critical role in gathering, analyzing, and defining business requirements while closely working with Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, eCommerce, Logistics, and Finance teams and translating them into scalable technology solutions. This position serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of initiatives .

Position location – Hybrid (onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) - Deerfield, IL.  

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

What you will be doing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional business teams (Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, eCommerce, Logistics, Finance) to gather and document requirements related to business processes.
  • Evaluate current business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and automation.
  • Translate end-user requirements into epics, user stories, features, and detailed functional specifications.
  • Leverage Agile practices for requirements tracking, prioritization, and delivery planning.
  • Facilitate communication between end-users, developers, and QA teams to ensure alignment and clarity of requirements.
  • Partner with IT teams to support the testing lifecycle, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on a requirements traceability matrix.
  • Evaluate test results, triage bugs, and develop and execute automation testing scripts.
  • Lead or support issue resolution activities and perform root cause analysis within the order management domain.
  • Support change management efforts, including user training, stakeholder communication, and documentation updates.
  • Conduct product training sessions to onboard and enable end-users.
  • Conduct demos of software products to showcase functionality and gather feedback.
  • Run scrum meetings to track progress and ensure deliverables align with customer needs.
  • Create and present status reports and executive presentations to communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree - technical degree preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years’ experience working in IT as a business analyst on cloud-enabled & on-prem applications and services
  • 3+ years’ experience writing system test cases/scripts, executing test scripts, defects management, status reporting
  • 2+ years’ experience with scrum, hands-on experience with agile based projects
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL based databases
  • 1+ years of experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through implementation
  • Good analytical, oral communication and written documentation skills
  • General leadership and management skills
  • Advanced communication, negotiation, change management, and conflict resolution capabilities
  • ITIL & BA Tools: ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Atlassian Jira, Azure DevOps
  • Framework: Scrum, Kanban, CSM
  • Database: Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ OR Oracle
  • Web & Marketing Tools: Shopify, Microsoft Power Apps. Dynamics 365.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Manufacturing domain knowledge
  • Certifications like IIBA-AAC, QA Certification, PMI-ACP

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $90,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
