Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Profitability Ownership

  • Own topline revenue and contribution margin across Amazon, Shopify (DTC), TikTok Shop, and Wholesale channels.
  • Develop and manage annual sales and profit forecasts, ensuring growth aligns with company margin targets.
  • Analyze performance by channel—balancing ad spend, shipping, merchant fees, and fulfillment costs to improve contribution margin.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to align forecasts, inventory flow, and pricing strategies that optimize profitability.
  • Report weekly on sales, contribution margin, and channel efficiency to leadership.

E-Commerce & Performance Marketing

  • Lead Alabaster’s Meta Ads strategy and execution—owning campaign setup, creative testing, targeting, and ROAS optimization.
  • Oversee external partners for Amazon PPC, TikTok Ads, and Google Ads, ensuring spend efficiency and performance accountability.
  • Develop cross-channel attribution and LTV models to guide spend toward high-return audiences and products.
  • Continuously test and refine paid media strategy to balance growth, margin, and customer acquisition cost (CAC).

Channel Strategy & Optimization

  • Oversee execution and optimization across all key channels:
    • Amazon: Partner with the marketplace team to maintain account health, pricing, and advertising performance.
    • Shopify: Drive DTC revenue growth through ad optimization, conversion improvements, and promotional planning.
    • TikTok Shop: Scale product discovery and affiliate performance through platform partnerships.
    • Wholesale: Align product launches, inventory, and pricing to expand retail distribution (e.g., Ingram, Christian bookstores).
  • Identify trends, new platform opportunities, and growth levers to increase both sales and efficiency.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 specialists across Amazon, Paid Media, Shopify, and Wholesale.
  • Build structure and accountability through clear OKRs, feedback, and growth plans.
  • Foster collaboration with Brand, Creative, and Operations to ensure seamless campaign execution.

Data, Systems, & Reporting

  • Build dashboards and reporting systems that track sales, contribution margin, CAC, ROAS, and LTV across all channels.
  • Use data to drive strategic recommendations for pricing, promotions, and product mix.
  • Present quarterly business reviews with actionable insights to leadership.


Requirements

Must-Haves

  • 6–10+ years in e-commerce, performance marketing, or channel strategy at a DTC, CPG, or lifestyle brand.
  • Proven ability to drive both revenue growth and contribution margin improvement across multiple e-commerce channels.
  • Hands-on experience managing Meta Ads campaigns (strategy, creative testing, optimization).
  • Strong understanding of Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and Wholesale channel dynamics.
  • Solid financial and analytical acumen—comfortable interpreting P&Ls, ad spend efficiency, and margin data.
  • Demonstrated success managing and developing a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and marketplace dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a bias toward ownership and accountability.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience scaling an eight-figure e-commerce business or owning P&L responsibility.
  • Familiarity with Ingram, CoreSource, NetSuite, or other wholesale operations platforms.
  • Knowledge of creative testing, conversion optimization, and LTV/CAC modeling.
  • Exposure to both DTC and omnichannel retail business models.
  • Passion for mission-driven, faith-based brands and alignment with Alabaster’s vision of Beauty on Earth.

Dealbreakers

  • No direct experience managing Meta Ads or e-commerce profitability.
  • Preference for highly corporate, slow-moving environments.
  • Inability to balance revenue goals with disciplined margin management.
  • Weak follow-through or communication across cross-functional teams.
