Position Summary

The Senior Mobile Developer is responsible for designing, building, and delivering high-quality applications across handheld and mobile platforms, including associate-facing tools and customer applications. This role requires strong expertise in React Native development, mobile application deployment, and API integration, along with experience contributing to existing Kotlin-based systems. The developer will partner closely with product, engineering, and business teams to create scalable, efficient, and user-centric solutions, including inventory lookup tools and performance dashboards. This role emphasizes delivering seamless user experiences, integrating with SAP-backed services, and supporting the full lifecycle of applications from development through deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build a new inventory lookup app in React Native, optimized for handheld devices used by store associates.
  • Build a management metrics dashboard in React Native for handheld devices, covering sales performance, ecommerce fulfillment visibility, and drill-down reporting.
  • Contribute to our existing handheld app (currently Kotlin-based).
  • Help build and ship a customer-facing mobile app to the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Integrate with SAP APIs as the primary backend powering these applications.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of mobile development experience.
  • Strong React Native skills, this is the primary framework for all new development.
  • Experience building and deploying apps to handheld or mobile devices.
  • Experience shipping apps to the Apple App Store and/or Google Play.
  • Comfortable working with REST APIs, SAP integration experience is a strong plus.
  • Familiar with Kotlin or willing to work in an existing Kotlin codebase.
  • Strong UI/UX instincts, you care about how something feels, not just how it works.
  • Strong execution mindset, able to navigate ambiguity and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in retail or ecommerce environments a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP CPI / API management a plus.
  • Experience with ruggedized or handheld device development a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Monday – Friday onsite, based out of our Roswell, GA Store Support Center. Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.

Travel:

  • Up to 10% of travel is required based on the needs of the business.
