The Shopify Developer will be heavily involved in website site updates, API integrations, execution of both front/back end improvements, and resolution of website performance issues (i.e. outages and bugs). This position is based in our Orlando office with a hybrid schedule in the office. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor the B2B and B2C sites and upgrades code and experience. 
  • Manage integrations with apps and third-party software between Shopify and ERP NetSuite.
  • Own and manage tech roadmap including deploying new tools, as well as A/B Testing.
  • Partner marketing team for optimal website usability and consumer experience.
  • Track website speed and makes optimizations to improve for Mobile usability.
  • Place marketing pixels and manage Google Tag Manager.
  • Write clean and reusable code to optimize website speed and to support future scalability incorporating SEO on-page best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, trends, and e-commerce technologies.
  • Reports to the VP of E-commerce.  No direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Development or related field is preferred.
  • 1 years of experience with Shopify/Shopify Plus is preferred.
  • Self-starter and up-to-date with the latest Shopify trends/apps.
  • Shopify Custom-build, Template modifications, Installation, 3rd Part App Integrations, etc.
  • Experience with liquid or PHP templating.
  • Understanding of application languages (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
  • Intermediate knowledge of JavaScript libraries (VueJS, NodeJs, Grunt, Bower, Webpack, CommonJS, RequireJS, PrototypeJS, jQuery, Gulp).
  • Basic understanding of LESS and SASS.
  • Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Trouble shooting and debugging skills. 
  • Works well in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with team members and clients
  • Highly organized and has great communication skills (both written and in person).
  • Process oriented and able to develop and follow project schedules which often shift in a digital business.
  • Experience in a retail or consumer-facing business is a plus.
  • Ability to work within the core hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional needs to accommodate a flexible schedule outside of core hours / weekdays. During Peak Holidays there will be some off hours work and monitoring of site.

  • Indoor, open office environment.  The office noise level is moderately loud.  
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time while simultaneously working on the computer and telephone.  Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally.
