About the team and the role:

Our Cloud Engineering Security team is responsible for building and scaling secure cloud infrastructure that enables our business to move fast without compromising safety. This team develops and implements security-by-design solutions across our cloud environments, working closely with platform, infrastructure, and application engineering teams to integrate security directly into systems, pipelines, and tooling.

They bring a strong engineering approach to security—leveraging automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration practices to embed controls such as identity and access management, network security, and threat detection into the foundation of our platforms. Rather than operating as a gatekeeper, this team acts as a force multiplier, creating secure, reusable frameworks and tooling that empower teams to build safely and efficiently.

The position focuses on optimizing traffic flow, enhancing system performance, and ensuring scalable and secure network operations with an emphasis on high performance and low latency architecture development. Key programming languages for this role include Java, C++ or Go.

What you will accomplish:

  • Design and Develop Traffic Security Solutions: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of solutions to manage and mitigate traffic Rate limiting and  BOT activities efficiently using Java, C/C++ or Go.

  • Optimize Network Security: Enhance security measures to protect network infrastructure.

  • Manage Scalability on Kubernetes: Deploy and manage scalable systems.

  • Develop High Performance Architectures: Design systems that prioritize low latency and high throughput.

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

  • 5+ years in networking and traffic management, with a focus on high performance systems.

  • Proficiency in Java, C++or Go, and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Envoy for traffic management.

  • Experience with vendor tool integration.

  • Contributions to open-source projects.

  • Relevant certifications and experience in large-scale environments.

  • Familiarity with other programming languages or frameworks.

  • Experience in Agile methodologies.

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$98,000 - $173,600

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
