What you'll do...

Position Summary As a Senior Data Analyst – Vans and Gig DSP within Walmart’s Last Mile Delivery (LMD) organization, you will serve as a strategic analytics partner driving business insights and decision support across asset-based and gig delivery networks. This role operates at the intersection of last mile operations, product, finance, and technology, enabling data-driven decisions that improve service performance, cost efficiency, and operational scalability. You will own performance reporting, KPI development, deep-dive analytics, and executive-level insight generation that directly influences van and gig strategy. In addition, you will collaborate with Data Engineering to enhance data integrity, strengthen reporting infrastructure, and expand visibility through new internal and external data sources.   What You’ll Do Strategic Analytics & Decision Support
  • Lead data-driven analysis supporting multi-carrier delivery strategies, ensuring service and cost targets are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for metric performance, trend analysis, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and root causes within large last mile datasets.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations and executive-ready narratives.
  • Apply advanced analytical methodologies to support complex business questions and pilot initiatives.
Data Management & Reporting
  • Extract, transform, and model data from Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) to support scalable reporting.
  • Automate reporting workflows and data refresh processes.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that support ongoing business reviews.
  • Develop KPI scorecards and operational tracking mechanisms.
  • Deliver recurring and ad hoc insights with speed and precision.
Data Infrastructure & Engineering Partnership
  • Partner with Data Engineering to investigate and resolve data discrepancies and reporting anomalies.
  • Identify upstream data issues and define requirements for improved ingestion and transformation.
  • Support integration of new data sources, including third-party APIs, to expand operational visibility.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Finance, Technology, and Field teams to define KPIs and success metrics.
  • Lead analytics workstreams within large-scale initiatives.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Promote data literacy and adoption of analytics-driven decision-making.
Operational Excellence
  • Monitor driver engagement, delivery success, and overall DSP performance metrics.
  • Design analytical solutions supporting large-scale transportation initiatives.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that reduce risk and improve efficiency.

  Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
    OR 2+ years of experience in data analytics or a related field
  • Experience building dashboards and scalable reporting solutions
  • Strong quantitative problem-solving skills with the ability to scope and prioritize business requirements
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in last mile, transportation, supply chain, or logistics analytics
  • Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams on data pipeline and infrastructure improvements
  • Experience integrating third-party API data sources
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL, Python or R, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, BigQuery
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience leading analytics projects in large, matrixed organizations
  • Strong exploratory data analysis capabilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
