Senior Technical Business Analyst with OSS/BSS System Integration Focus

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Type: Full Time, On-site

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst specializing in Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operations Support Systems (OSS) within the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate is a proven expert in system-to-system integration, possesses a deep understanding of TM Forum Standards, and is ready to drive digital transformation through the adoption of Open APIs and modern architecture.

 

What You'll Do

 

  • Analyze and Define OSS/BSS Requirements: You will analyze complex business requirements for both BSS (Customer, Product, Revenue) and OSS (Service, Resource, Network) domains. You will use the TM Forum eTOM (Enhanced Telecom Operations Map) as a foundation to define clear, concise technical specifications and scope for new and existing systems, with a specific focus on robust system-to-system integration.
  • Solutioning & System Mapping (SID/ODA): You will perform end-to-end technical solution design for integration projects, mapping business capabilities to technical components. You will champion the transition from monolithic architectures to the modular, cloud-native TM Forum Open Digital Architecture (ODA). This includes defining system-to-system patterns and executing precise data mapping using the TM Forum SID (Shared Information/Data) model to ensure data consistency across the BSS/OSS landscape.
  • Drive Quality and Integration Testing: You will lead and coordinate rigorous integration testing across multiple BSS/OSS platforms, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet all functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, security, and scalability).
  • Collaborate & Influence: You will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (e.g., Product Marketing, Finance, Operations) and technical BSS/OSS development teams. You will effectively collaborate with and influence cross-functional and onshore/offshore teams to negotiate project plans, secure commitments, and proactively resolve any integration blocking issues.
  • Solve Complex Problems: You will use your passion for understanding ambiguous BSS/OSS problems to drive high-quality, innovative, and robust technical solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

 

What We're Looking For

 

  • BSS/OSS Specialization: 7+ years of intermediate-level experience as a Technical Business Analyst, specifically focused on system-to-system integration within a telecom BSS/OSS environment.
  • TM Forum Standards (MUST HAVE): Proven, direct experience and solid working knowledge of TM Forum Frameworks, including eTOM, SID, and Open Digital Architecture (ODA).
  • API Development & Integration: Direct experience acting as the primary liaison between business needs and technical API development. Solid knowledge of REST and SOAP Services, with hands-on experience using Postman and SoapUI.
  • Direct experience with TM Forum Open APIs is a must, including key specifications such as TMF629 (Customer Management), TMF632 (Party Management), and TMF622 (Product Ordering Management).
  • Microservices Architecture: Direct experience working with distributed systems and microservices-based environments, specifically within the context of TM Forum's Open Digital Architecture (ODA).
  • Platform Experience (Asset): Experience with major BSS/OSS vendor platforms (e.g., Netcracker, Amdocs, Ericsson, Oracle) is a strong asset.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL and a working knowledge of NoSQL databases. Experience with Jira and Confluence is required for project and documentation management.
  • Process & Environment: Proven track record working in B2B/B2C models and expertise in working within Hybrid Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Waterfall).
  • Customer-Facing Systems: Experience analyzing user experience design and developing customer-facing platforms with intricate self-serve workflows (e.g., BSS portals).
