Staffworks is hiring a temporary Business Analyst for our client in Mississauga.

Business Analyst – Courier Operations & Development

The Courier Operations and Development Team is responsible for managing the Corporation’s relationships with our Courier Partners. We oversee daily operations, develop standard operating procedures, and continuously strengthen courier capacity—building a reliable and scalable network that delivers exceptional customer experiences.

Our team provides project management and subject matter expertise to initiatives that impact key stakeholders across all banners and functions. Current priorities include supporting ecommerce growth, building a courier center of excellence, expanding courier capacity, and implementing a courier invoice audit and validation system for last-mile networks.

We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and self-directed Business Analyst to play a critical role in driving process improvements, supporting courier operations, and delivering insights that enhance capacity, service quality, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day courier operations, including last mile, B2C, and B2B activities such as shipment tracking, network health, capacity monitoring, and issue resolution

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as a liaison and change agent, driving efficiency and informed decision-making

  • Partner with ecommerce and supply chain teams to design and implement strategic processes and solutions

  • Analyze large data sets and translate them into actionable insights

  • Map current processes, evaluate alternatives, create simulation models, and develop optimized processes with stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain process documentation ensuring compliance and due diligence

  • Provide courier invoice structure and validation support

  • Contribute to business reviews, brainstorming sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • University degree or College Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Applied Math, or a related field

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Dispatch and/or courier operations experience

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

  • Proven ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups

Assets

  • Knowledge of transportation and courier operations

  • Experience with financial processes (invoice auditing and validation)

  • Background in ecommerce, supply chain, last-mile delivery, or logistics technology
