Description

The Business Analyst analyzes sales and competitive data to provide actionable insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing sales performance. The Business Analyst uses customer reporting, market trends, and competitive analysis to assess and communicate business effectiveness, adapting strategies as necessary for optimal outcomes. Key responsibilities include daily and weekly monitoring of market development funds, promotional funding, sell-through rates, and competitor pricing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track and process market development funding.
  • Complete product set-ups.
  • Collaborate closely with Best Buy’s brand advocate on analytics related to ASUS’ business across all categories.
  • Conduct competitive analysis by monitoring promotional activities.
  • Analyze third-party data to understand market dynamics and provide strategic recommendations to Sales Managers.
  • Maintain routine communication with Best Buy Merchant Analysts and Demand Planners, including weekly or bi-weekly calls.
  • Present competitive data during quarterly business reviews with the Best Buy team.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to confidently operate in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, and results-oriented corporate environment requiring high flexibility.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and priority-setting abilities, capable of multitasking effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Some technical knowledge is preferred.

 

Required Qualifications:

Years of Education

  •  Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.)


Work Experience

  •  1-2 years of experience in analytics.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ecommerce and retail experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Typically works in an office environment.
  • Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods.
  • Required to be onsite in ACI-Fremont 3 days per week, remote 2 days per week.
  • 10% of domestic travel.

 

$85,000 - $95,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California (Hybrid) or Minnesota (Remote). The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
