Position Summary:
The Digital Business Analyst will report to the CEO and be focused on creating meaningful reports and generating insights and learnings through measurable data to drive the Redbarn and Pawstruck brands. Key to the role will be developing, gathering, validating and communicating digital KPIs critical to the business. The role will also work closely with the Marketplace Manager, Performance Marketing Manager, Lifecycle Manager, DTC National Account Manager, Operations as well as engaging with Executive team leads. Further, they will work with internal and external stakeholders to support planning, advertising, merchandising, supply chain and operations. This collaboration will support media planning, budgeting, strategy development, product assortment management, pricing and market share growth opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Interpret complex data problems & structures and gather requirements to develop reporting and analysis solutions to meet the needs of the business and stakeholders. Use business storytelling abilities to provide insights that include a root cause and actionable solutions.
- Performs ad hoc data requests directly from the Data Warehouse or source systems to generate useful business insights and present timely business critical results.
- Work independently with large data sets to create data solutions. Correlate, synthesize, validate, understand and report operational, customer engagement, quantitative and qualitative data points to identify key insights and trends.
- Provide strategic recommendations leveraging digital commerce and advertising analytics.
- Integrate disparate datasets from across internal/external sources to formulate a consolidated view of brand health metrics, channel performance and opportunities to support key marketing decisions.
- Identify trends and patterns in channel-performance and customer interaction behavior to iteratively improve outcomes.
- Plan, lead and monitor the brand strategy across various platforms and departments to make data driven recommendations to increase brand awareness, drive sales and improve efficiencies.
- Drive business decisions informing the organization around trends, insights and recommendations and measurement of the impacts of internal performance processes and enterprise initiatives.
- Drive category growth/expansion through analysis of inefficiencies with actionable solutions.
- Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related market trends.
- Identify key performance indexes to measure advertising efforts of key business objectivesCustomize marketing dashboards and reports and work with the internal business intelligence team.
- Identify trends and patterns in channel-performance and customer interaction behavior to iteratively improve outcomes.
- Use data and statistical analysis to support key business decisions and leverage data to automatically identify early anomaly detection in the data patterns.
- Develop mathematical/scientific models of complex systems including variables, constraints, alternatives and multiple objective relevant to the business.
- Provide reports such as Search Terms, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Search Reports, Inventory Analysis, Monthly Business intelligence reports, total overview sales reports, media reports, ARA premium insights and Amazon Marketing Cloud.
- Provide regular audit of metrics to drive quality and achieve total digital commerce & brand sales targets.
- Analyze campaign metrics to assess performance drivers and identify actionable insights.
- Provide actionable reports to be used in the creation of presentations, proposals and budgets.
- Generate insights on various categories and audience segments from internal, external and other comparable sources.
- Support CEO on deliverables (recaps, reports, sales tools, store analysis, presentations, etc.).
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.
- 3-5 years of experience of working with data / business analytics and report preparation.
- 3+ years of experience in digital sales, advertising, or e-commerce environment experience in a fast paced, client or retail environment.
- 3-5 years of analytical experience to deep dive and review data provided through tools including Retailer platforms, Stackline and external data sources.
- 3-5 years of experience with data extraction, data aggregation, and business intelligence.
- 3-5 years with demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis with advanced analytical skills in understanding, assessing and deriving critical insights from multiple data sets.
- Digital omnichannel experience for a CPG or retailer.
- Experience leading weekly / monthly meetings to review reporting and priorities.
- Experience with Sales Planning, Budgeting and Customer P&L Management.
- Experience of working as part of a high performing team.
- Experience with eCommerce data sets (POS, media, market share, digital shelf, etc.).
- Experience with PowerBI / Tableau or other Data Visualizations tools.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Extended Sitting: The role requires sitting for prolonged periods while working at a desk, using computers, and participating in meetings.
- Computer Usage: Frequent operation of computer systems is essential for data analysis, report creation, and communication. This involves sustained typing and prolonged screen exposure.
- Light Lifting: Occasional lifting of light items such as files, laptops, and presentation materials weighing up to 25 pounds may be required.
- Manual Dexterity: Daily use of hands is necessary for operating computers, writing notes, and managing documents.
- Visual Requirements: Significant computer screen use requires excellent vision. Duties include reading information from both monitors and physical documents and analyzing intricate data sets, which demand close vision, the ability to see color, and focus adjustment
