Main Purpose and Major Challenges of the Role

Manage and oversee all aspects of the digital experience ranging from site management, product merchandising, site experience, site speed to feature expansion and a display a constant drive to create a best-in-class shopping experience online. Owns all aspects of the eCommerce P&L and drives optimization across all aspects that impact the financial performance of the eCommerce channel. Responsible for delivering eCommerce sales and profitability targets, working cross functionally with product, marketing, creative, finance, retail and operations to foster accountability and collaboration across all stakeholders of the digital business. This role is required to be in office at least three days a week. 


ACCOUNTABILITY: 

eCommerce Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day eCommerce operations across all eCommerce functions, including Digital Merchandising, Digital Capabilities, UX, eCommerce, ensuring a best-in-class eCommerce shopping experience at all times.
  • Own third party vendor and agency relationships. Ensure accountability and performance standards.
  • Lead the optimization of backend processes and systems to minimize P&L impact from returns & exchanges, fulfillment, fraud, cancelations et al.
  • Plan and oversee execution of all key GTM calendar events.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure cross functional collaboration and accountability to drive the business.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY: 

Strategic Planning

  • Define, deliver, and track strategies and roadmaps for Digital Merchandising, Digital Capabilities, UX, eCommerce.
  • Define and implement data driven, evergreen test and learn strategies across all eCommerce functions to drive ongoing, incremental KPI progression.
  • Drive omnichannel strategy to enable a seamless customer experience across all direct consumer touchpoints.
  • Be on the pulse of all developing technologies (e.g. AI) and strategies that have the potential to impact the business.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY: 

Insights and Reporting

  • Define KPI goals and work to deliver against those goals.
  • Define and deliver weekly KPI reporting across all eCommerce functions and brands. 
  • Socialize performance throughout the organization.

  • Hire and retain best in class team across Digital Merchandising, Digital Capabilities, UX, eCommerce.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance that allows team members to grow in their roles and perform at their best.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years overseeing eCommerce management. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Must have a “customer first” mentality that understands how site testing affects the customer experience both positively and negatively. 
  • Must have thorough understanding of Shopify and third-party apps. 
  • Ability to think independently and creatively to problem solve. 
  • Proven ability to work smoothly with other departments and ecommerce stakeholders. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Understanding of data and analytics such as Shopify reports and Google Analytics. 
  • Must have experience working with agencies and contractors.
