Summary: This position will support and optimize the company’s growing online sales operations. Will analyze e-commerce data, identify trends, and provide strategic insights to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and revenue growth. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, IT, and finance, to drive data-backed decision-making and enhance our digital sales strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various e-commerce platforms (eBay, Amazon, Shopify, etc.) to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports to track online sales performance, customer behavior, and inventory trends.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize pricing, product selection, and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor website and marketplace analytics to improve conversion rates and overall user experience.

Process Optimization & Strategy:

  • Identify inefficiencies in online sales workflows and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Work with IT and development teams to improve website functionality and resolve technical issues impacting e-commerce performance.
  • Support the development and execution of e-commerce growth strategies, including expansion into new digital marketplaces.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing team and marketplace partners (e.g. Shop Goodwill, Goodwill Finds, Amazon, ebay, etc) to evaluate the effectiveness of digital campaigns and customer acquisition efforts.
  • Partner with finance to analyze revenue trends, forecast sales, and improve profitability.
  • Assist in vendor and technology assessments to ensure the organization is leveraging the best tools for e-commerce success.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, E-commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a business analyst or e-commerce analytics role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Google Analytics, and related e-commerce reporting tools.
  • Experience with online marketplaces (eBay, Amazon, Shopify) and digital marketing analytics.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to translate data insights into business recommendations.
  • Passion for mission-driven work and the ability to thrive in a nonprofit environment.
