This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and elevate data strategy within a fast-growing, mission-driven environment. As a Senior Data Engineer focused on analytics, you will be instrumental in building scalable data pipelines, creating actionable models, and enabling business leaders to make informed decisions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging AI and automation to enhance data transformation and visualization. This position emphasizes ownership, technical expertise, and collaboration to deliver high-impact solutions that drive organizational success.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and visualizations that empower business users.
  • Lead technical discussions on data architecture and implement robust, performant analytics models.
  • Balance feature development with cost-efficient, high-performing data solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Champion AI-driven automation and coding practices to improve development velocity and quality.
  • Foster data fluency by enabling teams to self-serve through effective reporting tools.


Requirements
  • 5+ years experience with DBT in collaborative and growth-oriented environments.
  • Expertise in production data modeling on cloud platforms such as Databricks Delta, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including understanding performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with distributed data processing frameworks like Spark.
  • Experience building CI/CD data pipelines with strong testing, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Natural Language Query platforms.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
  • Competence with git for version control and collaboration.
  • Python programming skills and experience with DAG orchestration tools (Prefect, Dagster, Airflow) are a plus.
  • Experience with ecommerce or subscription data environments is advantageous.
