Role: Senior Full Stack Engineer

Location: Santa Monica, CA (Hybrid)

Our client is redefining how brands connect with the next generation of talent and consumers. With a large network of Gen Z students across major U.S. campuses and hundreds of brand partners, they’re building a leading platform where students turn creativity into opportunity—and where brands authentically show up on campus and online.

They’re in a stage of rapid growth, backed by leading investors, and are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join and help shape the next chapter. This role will sit on their Engineering Team, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering.

Position Overview:

They are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Engineer (Product & Integrations) to join their team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the integrations and platform infrastructure that power their core product experiences. You’ll work closely with the engineering team, product design team, and COO to align technical execution with business goals and user needs.

Product & Integrations Engineering is a core part of making their marketplace platform work. Connecting companies and gig workers sits at the heart of their business model, and those connections depend on reliable, scalable integrations with third-party platforms, internal services, and external data sources.

The right candidate has experience building consumer-facing products at an early- to mid-stage startup and is comfortable owning complex integrations in fast-moving environments. You think beyond implementation, care deeply about product outcomes, and enjoy turning messy external systems into clean, intuitive user experiences.

This is not a “ticket-taker” role. You’ll have ownership, influence, and the opportunity to help define what they build and why.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations with social media APIs (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, X), ecommerce/payment APIs (e.g. Shopify, Stripe, PayPal) as well as Google APIs (OAuth, Calendar, Gmail).
  • Own full-stack features end-to-end—from backend services and APIs to frontend user experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and leadership to translate real user needs into thoughtful technical solutions.
  • Make architectural decisions that balance speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Build internal tools and dashboards that power operations, analytics, and partner workflows.
  • Proactively identify product opportunities, technical gaps, and UX improvements.
  • Ensure reliability, security, and performance across integrations that depend on external platforms.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer (startup experience is a plus).
  • Strong experience working with third-party APIs, including authentication (OAuth), rate limits, webhooks, and error handling.
  • Proficiency in modern backend and frontend technologies (e.g. Node.js, Python, React, TypeScript—exact stack flexible).
  • Solid understanding of databases, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
  • A product mindset: you think about user impact, edge cases, and business goals—not just code correctness.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and iterating quickly.
  • Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating across disciplines.
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience with creator platforms, marketplaces, or fintech products.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce ecosystems (Shopify apps, payments, subscriptions).
  • Experience building internal tools or admin dashboards.
  • Interest in the creator economy or labor marketplaces.

What they Offer:

  • Competitive annual base compensation
  • Equity Option Award Compensation
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) Plan
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Laptop and WFH setup reimbursement
  • Hybrid office environment in Santa Monica
