The Opportunity

Reporting to the SEO Manager, the Search Engine Optimization Strategist is responsible for managing day to day aspects and search engine optimization of QVC.com and HSN.com across traditional search engines as well as answer engines (AEO/GEO). The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in technical SEO, web analytics, search engine algorithms, keyword research as it relates to organic search results for an ecommerce site. The candidate should be able to identify trends in organic search, technical issues with the site in relation to SEO/AEO/GEO and develop strategies for optimizing results.

This role is hybrid based out of West Chester, PA. We are in office ~6 times a month.

Your Impact

• Developing and executing integrated strategies for traditional search and AI-powered results, conducting deep research into AI models, and using data analysis to refine tactics for optimizing content for visibility across different search surfaces like traditional SERPs, featured snippets, and generative AI responses
• Maintaining the integrity of results for QVC.com and HSN.com web properties
• Carrying out strategy set forth by the SEO Manager and communicating results based on strategy and best practices for the Developers, Product Managers and others as needed
• Writing IT project requirements and ensuring new site enhancements meet with best practices and/or further search engine optimization
• Performing research and analyses related to the company's site as well as competitors' sites, and how these sites rank on search and answer engines

What You Bring

• Must have 3+ years' experience with Search Engine Optimization in the ecommerce space; Knowledge of search engine algorithms and website architecture.
• Expert understanding of Google Search Console and experience in SEO crawling tools such as Botify, Screaming Frog or Lumar.
• Experience and understanding of the effective use of traditional SEO platforms such as semRush, Ahrefs, BrightEdge or Conductor to identify issues and opportunities.
• Knowledge of analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or similar application to track business KPIs
• Knowledge of HTML/proper use of HTML markup and JavaScript as it relates to SEO. Ability to inspect/debug issues via Chrome DevTools. Knowledge of CSS and understanding of natural language processing (NLP) a plus.
• Understanding of schema markup, link strategies and Core Web Vitals
• Ability to diagnose technical issues like broken links, redirect chains and other errors
