Shopify Technical Lead

Makro Agency is looking for a talented and passionate Lead Developer to drive the technical vision of our projects and mentor our development team. As a key player in our engineering group, you’ll architect scalable solutions, solve complex challenges, and help shape the future of eCommerce for our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development of high-performance Shopify themes and custom applications using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP (Laravel), and Node.js.
• Architect scalable, secure, and efficient integrations with Shopify’s Admin API, GraphQL, and third-party services (e.g., Rebuy, Klaviyo, Algolia).
• Define and implement best practices for development workflows, code quality, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Mentor and support a team of developers, fostering innovation and continuous learning.
• Ensure performance, responsiveness, and reliability across all Shopify solutions.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Advanced expertise in Shopify development, including Storefront, Admin API, and GraphQL.
• Strong backend skills in PHP (Laravel), Node.js, and MySQL.
• Front-end experience with React, TailwindCSS, and AlpineJS.
• Experience integrating with eCommerce tools (Rebuy, Klaviyo, Algolia, etc.).
• Hands-on knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, GitHub, and automated testing.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
