Description

Basic Function: The Software Developer position is expected to contribute to the WireMasters team by modifying existing web applications and creating new custom web applications. The primary development language will be PHP but understanding of other technical languages is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, test, and develop new web applications under the direction of team lead.
  • Modify existing in-house web applications as needed.
  • Maintain systems once they are up and running in a production environment.
  • Work with management and operations to propose ideas for system improvements.
  • Write and Analyze SQL Queries.
  • Use version control to track software modifications.
  • Develop applications using Object Oriented Design concepts.
  • Stay current and learn new development technologies as they arise.
  • Regularly update progress on assigned task list.
  • Understand and use HTML5, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript and RESTful services.
  • Proficient with PHP and PHP frameworks.
  • Familiar with databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.
  • Maintain user manuals and training materials for applications.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned by WireMasters Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working with APIs.
  • Ecommerce experience is a plus.
  • Analytical Thinking.
  • Problem Solving/Critical Thinking.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Works well under pressure and with a team.
  • Professionalism.
