About the Role

T9 is looking for a Sr. Manager, Lifecycle & Retention Marketing to join our team. The right person for this role will spearhead strategies to dramatically increase customer engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value; transform our CRM into a data-driven, ROI-focused, personalized lifecycle marketing powerhouse, leveraging email and direct mail; use customer insights, A/B testing, and segmentation to optimize retention and drive marketing decisions, while leading a team to execute high-impact programs. This role will be based out of our Emeryville, CA office Monday/Thursday with the ability to work remotely on Friday.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive the execution of retention and lifecycle marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals

  • Translate customer insights and data analysis into actionable programs that increase LTV and reduce churn

  • Apply testing and analytics to optimize retention campaigns and lifecycle programs

  • Partner with eCommerce, Creative, and Marketing leaders to support customer-first strategies

  • Oversee and optimize Title Nine’s email and lifecycle marketing programs, including triggered, transactional, batch, and loyalty communications

  • Manage campaign calendars and deliver seamless execution from creative brief through deployment

  • Develop customer journey strategies including reactivation, pre-emptive retention, and repeat purchase drivers
    Partner with Creative to ensure messaging and content resonates with customers and reinforces Title Nine’s brand voice

  • Support direct mail and loyalty programs as part of an integrated retention strategy

  • Nurture new leads and acquisitions into repeat customers

  • Organize and execute email/list hierarchy rules within a complex email program

  • Work with performance marketing teams to inform audience targeting and retention-focused paid media

  • Partner with eCommerce to align retention initiatives with site experience improvements

  • Provide input on catalog contact strategy and promotional planning using data and insights

  • Manage customer segmentation, cohort analysis, and dashboards to monitor retention and LTV performance

  • Lead testing initiatives to continuously refine lifecycle campaigns and promotional strategies

  • Report results against goals and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance

  • Serve as the in-house expert on CRM/email best practices, tools, and processes

  • Lead and mentor our retention marketing team while fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture and building strong partnerships with internal teams and external vendors to achieve retention goals.


About You

  • You also have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.

    • 6–8+ years of direct retention/CRM/email marketing experience at an eCommerce retailer, preferably in women’s apparel.

    • Demonstrated success executing lifecycle marketing strategies with measurable impact on retention and LTV.

    • Hands-on experience with email platforms, CRM systems, and customer data management (Salesforce preferred).

    • Strong analytical skills with experience using BI tools, Excel,Google Analytics and customer data sets to create actionable strategies.

    • Familiarity with direct mail and loyalty marketing programs for eCommerce.

    • Experience managing and developing a small team.

    • HTML skills for editing

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytics tools

    • Experience with a Customer Data Platform (CDP) a plus
