Web Developer Intern

$15 - $25/hour · 10–20 hours/week · Expected duration: 12 weeks (at-will, may be ended by either party at any time)

Nomad eCommerce is seeking an innovative and resourceful Web Development Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for Computer Science or MIS/CMIS students who are passionate about web development and eager to gain hands-on training and real-world experience.

As a Web Development Intern, you’ll work alongside developers, SQL specialists, project managers, and UX/UI designers to contribute to impactful web solutions that drive our clients’ business goals. You’ll have opportunities to:

• Experiment with emerging technologies and frameworks
• Collaborate with our core engineers to enhance internal tools
• Support projects from concept through launch
• Learn in a culture that values creativity, accountability, and continuous growth

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to development projects
• Provide customer support as needed
• Solve problems through research and troubleshooting
• Assist with testing and QA
• Take on additional responsibilities to support business objectives
  
  

Required Skills

• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Strong written, verbal, and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Basic knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and databases
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Design sensibility and UX/UI knowledge
• Understanding of accessibility (WCAG guidelines)
• Familiarity with performance optimization (Lighthouse, WebPageTest)
• API integration proficiency
• SEO fundamentals
• Basic backend development knowledge
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills
• Awareness of DevOps or CI/CD methodologies
