The Opportunity

The Sr Business Analyst, Marketing Analytics will support customer analytics efforts and help guide the marketing strategy for QVC & HSN. You will collaborate with QVC & HSN business and marketing leaders, providing them with comprehensive customer behavioral insights to support the decision making process. You will be the voice of the customer and help to shape the marketing strategy by providing critical customer insights and help to manage customer expectations. You will analyze the results of visible marketing programs, providing segmentation and targeting recommendations. You will also oversee the design, implementation and analysis of marketing campaigns. You will report to the Sr Manager of Customer Anaytics. This is a hybrid position in West Chester, PA.

  • You will improve customer growth by identifying acquisition opportunities and retention improvements through data and analytics.
  • You will be well tuned around our customer, prospects, products, and our competition and will develop plan for marketing channel performance (sessions, conversion, spend, sales, new customers).

Your Impact

  • Build ad-hoc projects that inform both the strategic and tactical projects of the ICE Marketing team
  • Identify business trends and shifts, and recommend data-driven responses to the Marketing organization
  • Monitor actions and pricing and determine impact on QVC/HSN results
  • Develop new ways of viewing and analyzing marketing data
  • Use customer-centric data analysis, data visualization, segmentation, a/b testing and predictive modeling methods to improve across channels and within campaigns
  • Use statistical methods and tools to test hypotheses, develop insights and make recommendations
  • Identify business trends and shifts, and recommend data-driven responses to the Marketing organization
  • Research and provide insight into industry / competitive marketing trends
  • Work with external vendors on new marketing data sources and recommend new approaches to incorporate into analysis
  • Standardize and broaden marketing metric reporting and tracking
  • Translate customer needs into valuable solutions and communicate solutions to appropriate parties

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing analytics
  • Experience with analysis tools including Excel, VBA, R, SPSS, Python, R, and SAS
  • Demonstrated expertise with SQL, Tableau, and BigQuery
  • Understanding of database capabilities and experience integrating and analyzing large amounts of data from diverse sources
  • Knowledge of digital analytics tools (Coremetrics, Google Trends, Hitwise, and Similar Web), data visualization tools (Tableau), statistical computing tools (R, SPSS), query and database access tools (MicroStrategy), A/B testing and targeting strategies, and digital analytics industry trends and best practices
  • Have a fundamental understanding of incrementality
  • Knowledge of marketing technologies such as attribution, bid management, ad servers, and tag management
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to arrive at data-driven conclusions and express them
